Shenlong Automobile Co., Ltd. recalls some Dongfeng Peugeot and Dongfeng Citroen vehicles

A few days ago, Shenlong Automobile Co., Ltd. filed a recall plan with the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine in accordance with the requirements of the "Regulations on the Administration of Recall of Defective Automobile Products", and decided to recall some Dongfeng Peugeot 408, 308, 2008 cars and Dongfeng Citroen C3-XR cars produced in September 2016, totaling 10,194 vehicles.

Due to the manufacturer’s manufacturing reasons, the chemical composition ratio of the primary ignition material of the seat belt pretensioner is improper. After the vehicle collides, the front seat belt pretensioner may not work normally, which poses a safety hazard. Shenlong Automobile Co., Ltd. will inspect the vehicles within the scope of the recall and replace the front seat belt assembly free of charge according to the actual inspection results to eliminate the safety hazard.
