Lawrence, the designer of the giant panda climbing over the wall in Chengdu, died at the age of 60.

On October 12th, the reporter confirmed from official website of the University of Denver that Lawrence Aginte, the designer of Chengdu "Panda Over the Wall", passed away on October 4th, local time in the United States. According to local media reports, Lawrence was undergoing an operation at the time of the incident.

At present, the specific cause and details of Lawrence’s death have not been disclosed. The Douglas County Coroner’s Office said that the disclosure time of relevant information depends on the progress of the follow-up investigation.

In December 2013, Chengdu’s tallest and largest panda installation art work is also the largest stainless steel panda installation work in China at present. It is understood that Lawrence has been teaching in the College of Art and Art History of Denver University for more than 20 years. He is a top artist in the industry and has designed many well-known outdoor art works. Among them, the local "I See What You Mean" in Denver (I know what you mean), a big bear standing outside the window and visiting the inside is one of its outstanding masterpieces.
